    Alocasia Polly, sometimes called the African Mask Plant, is actually a hybrid - not from Africa at all, but developed from tropical Southeast Asian species. It’s prized for its dramatic dark green leaves with bold white veins and scalloped edges. Fun fact: despite its exotic appearance, Alocasia Polly is compact enough for shelves and side tables, making it a popular choice for smaller spaces.

    Alocasia Polly prefers bright, indirect light, and will appreciate a well-lit spot in your home - just avoid direct sun, which can scorch its striking foliage. In a UAE apartment, place it near a bright window with filtered light for best results.
    Watering

    Keep the soil lightly moist, allowing the top few centimetres to dry out between waterings. Overwatering is one of the quickest ways to upset this plant, so always check the soil first.
