    Native to Central and South America, this vine is known for its hole-punched leaves that look like Swiss cheese. It grows well trailing or climbing indoors. Fun fact: the holes help it withstand tropical downpours by letting rain pass through.

    The Swiss Cheese Plant thrives in bright, indirect light. In UAE homes, place it near a bright window with filtered sunlight. Too little light may reduce leaf fenestration (holes), while direct sunlight can scorch the foliage.
    Watering

    Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. This plant prefers slightly moist soil but doesn't like sitting in water. If you're using one of our self-watering pots, simply keep the reservoir topped up - it’ll maintain even hydration and support steady growth.
    Temperature & Humidity

    Monstera Adansonii is comfortable in indoor temperatures between 20-28°C and enjoys moderate to high humidity. It generally adapts well to UAE indoor conditions, but a light misting or a spot in the kitchen or bathroom can help mimic its native tropical environment.
    Ongoing Care

    Wipe the leaves occasionally to keep them clean and healthy. You can trim the vines to maintain shape or encourage fuller growth. If it gets leggy, consider giving it something to climb - like a moss pole - or let it trail freely from a shelf or hanging pot.
