Native to the tropical forests of Brazil, Calathea Leopardina is admired for its elegant, elongated leaves marked with dark green brushstroke-like patterns that resemble leopard markings. Its upright growth and understated foliage make it a calming addition to any indoor space. Fun fact: like other prayer plants, its leaves gently lift in the evening and lower again during the day in response to changing light.
Light Guide

Calathea Leopardina prefers medium to bright, indirect light. In UAE homes, place it near a window with filtered daylight or in a bright room away from direct sun. Too much sunlight can fade the leaf patterns and cause the edges to become crispy.
Watering

Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, allowing the top 2-3cm to dry out slightly between waterings. This plant can be sensitive to hard tap water, so filtered water is ideal where possible.
