    Common Name: Raven ZZ Plant

    Native to Eastern Africa, the Raven ZZ Plant is a striking cultivar of the classic ZZ Plant, loved for its glossy leaves that emerge bright green before gradually maturing to an almost-black colour. Its dramatic appearance makes it a standout feature in any interior, while remaining just as easy to care for as the original. Fun fact: the leaves naturally darken over several weeks, so it's completely normal to see both green and black foliage on the same plant.
    Light Guide

    The Raven ZZ Plant is highly adaptable and grows well in low to bright, indirect light. In UAE homes, it’s happy almost anywhere, from bright living rooms to lower-light offices or bedrooms. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
    Watering

    Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Like the classic ZZ Plant, the Raven stores water in its underground rhizomes, making it highly drought-tolerant. If you're using one of our self-watering pots, top up the reservoir sparingly and allow it to empty completely before refilling. This plant prefers to stay on the drier side.
    Temperature & Humidity

    The Raven ZZ Plant thrives in temperatures between 18-28°C, making it perfectly suited to air-conditioned homes throughout the UAE. It isn't fussy about humidity and performs well in typical indoor conditions. Simply keep it away from direct A/C vents and cold drafts.
    Ongoing Care

    Wipe the glossy leaves occasionally with a soft cloth to keep them looking their best. Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves at the base with clean scissors. As new growth emerges, enjoy watching the leaves gradually transform from vibrant green to their signature deep black - one of the Raven ZZ Plant's most distinctive features.
