Fire Croton

Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry, keeping the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Crotons don’t like drying out completely, but they’re also sensitive to overwatering. A self-watering pot can help maintain steady moisture - just keep the reservoir topped up without letting the soil stay constantly saturated.

This plant prefers temperatures between 22-30°C and enjoys moderate to high humidity. In UAE apartments, it will benefit from occasional misting, especially in air-conditioned spaces. Avoid placing it near strong A/C vents or cold drafts, as sudden changes can cause leaf drop.

Wipe the leaves gently to keep their colours vibrant and dust-free. It’s normal for Crotons to drop a few leaves when adjusting to a new environment - give it time to settle. Trim any yellowing or fallen leaves to keep the plant looking full and healthy.
